RALEIGH, NC (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Red Wings are on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight.
Detroit has dropped its last two games, including a 4-1 loss to Ottawa Tuesday.
The Red Wings will also make a stop in New York to take on the Rangers Saturday before returning home.
The Red Wings have signed goalie Magnus Hellberg to a one-year deal. The 31-year-old has spent the last five seasons playing in the KHL in Russia and represented Sweden in the 2022 Olympics.
Hellberg was drafted by Nashville in 2011 and appeared in four NHL games with the Nashville Predators and the New York Rangers.
