About the Show
Listen to the TJ Show every weekday morning from 6a to 10a and Saturdays for the Best Of the TJ Show on Hits 96-5, the most music for Kalamazoo!
TJ was the kid who walked to school with his headphones plugged into his radio. Having discovered morning talk shows as a 13 year old while growing up in Hillsdale, NJ, he became hooked. In high school, he called countless radio stations–asking to intern, organize CDs, sweep the floors, anything!–just to get his foot in the door.
Finally, in his junior year (at 16), Fairleigh Dickinson University gave him a chance. He started out running public service tapes on Sunday mornings for WFDU-FM, his mom giving him a ride to the station, since he was still too young to drive. In 2002, after getting accepted into FDU’s broadcasting department, he landed an internship at Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show in New York City.
During the 10+ years he spent working on The Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show, he learned as much as he could from the different positions he held: starting from the ground up – answering phones, to producing, and eventually becoming a co-host on Elvis’ nationally syndicated radio show in 2010.
In April of 2013, TJ began hosting his own morning radio show (The TJ Show) on Boston’s 103.3 Amp Radio. After 7 years, TJ signed off Amp Radio saying that collecting socks for Boston Rescue Mission (Boston Homeless Shelter) in The TJ Show Sock Drive was the highlight of his career.
TJ currently lives near Philadelphia with his wife, Jess, their 3 daughters, and a Labrador retriever named Luna.
